PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT – ORIGINAL’S METAL CUTTING RADIAL ARM SAW
Weighing in at around 850 pounds, the metal cutting radial arm saw is a workhorse in the industry. This saw is able to cut through several types of materials including aluminum, steel, brass, bronze, plastics, and fiberglass.
The saws are used in applications such as extrusion companies, sign manufacturers, aluminum window and door manufacturers, hollow metal door operations, fenestration industry, the glass, and glazing industry, and many other
industrial markets such as metal roofing, lead tubing, and trailer manufacturing.
The metal cutter holds several advantages over other saws in the industry. It can cut large-sized material and it cuts a large volume of pieces at one time.
This versatile radial arm saw offers several types of cutting applications including crosscuts, miters, bevels and compound miter work.
There are eight different models of metal cutting radial arm saws. Each model features various depths of cut,lengths of cross-cut, horsepower, and voltage options. The largest models can cut up to 8″ deep and have a 31″crosscut capacity. Another unique selling point is that the 22.5″ radial arm saw model can cut a 4″ bevel. Many customers choose to make their metal cutter into a semi-automatic saw by adding on an electronic powered crossfeed. This allows for push-button operation.
Another popular option is the addition of pneumatic clamps. Original Saw Company’s roller extension tables, flat extension tables and measuring systems turn this machine into a complete cutting station.
Blade recommendations vary depending on the type of material being cut and the size of the saw.In general, we recommend:
• carbide tipped blades for non-ferrous cutting
• PVC and plastic or HSS (high-speed steel) for friction cutting steel.
Blades are sold separately from the saw.
